KOI?
At the Missouri Botanical Garden last Friday. These big honking fish, apparently called Koi, were hanging out under a footbridge, to the delight of the assemblage. My son had to join in the frenzy of feeding them. .
they look more like carp to me, like the carp that are at the dam spillway at pymatuning. the ones that come to the surface as tourists thrw bread and are so plentiful that the water disappears and ducks can actually walk on the backs of the fish. koi are usually more colorful. but the important thing is that the kids had fun feeding the fish no matter what they are.
