February Haiku

I asked Chat GPT to create a Haiku based on my photo.  Here's my favorite from the suggestions.  I wish I was creative enough to write my own.  Anybody else want to take a crack, post in comments!

Peeling bark in light,

the tree loosens its old skin

without moving on

a shadow of a doubt...

Pale winter light

shadows stretch on cold concrete

silent as the day

Blustery Day Haiku

I asked ChatGPT to write a Haiku about this photo, with the clarification: This is Lake Erie on a cold and very blustery day.

Here's what it came up with:

Cold wind scours the waves

two empty chairs face the gray,

waiting for calm light.

Haiku for Indian Summer

Wow, it's been 6+ months since I thought about Haiku.  But this morning I did, and came up with this.  Not from a Haiku generator, just from my brain:

Indian Summer

Temperatures rise again

But Autumn is near

Haiku with Hope for Spring

I used as auto-generator for this one, sorry if it offends the purists.

After the snow melts,

Mud reveals its soft embrace,

Hope begins to bloom.

Haiku for a cold morning

I used as auto-generator for this one, but made a tweak.  Sorry if it offends the purists.

Whispers of the cold,

Wind blows through the empty trees,

Inside, warmth beckons.

The photo is an old one, pretty sure it was 2005.  My prompt to the generator was:  The snow has mostly melted, but now the wind is high and the temperature plunges.  time to stay inside

Auto-Haiku

After my quickly created Haiku, I was bopping around the internet and found a couple of Haiku generators.  I thought this one was pretty cool.

My prompt was:  "it s a crisp clear autumn day.  Birds frequent the feeder"

The response:

Golden light descends

Feathered friends flit, peck, and dine

Autumn's fleeting peace

Not bad....

Haiku?

 I don’t think I’ve ever

Tried to compose a Haiku

How hard can it be?
