When The Jazzman's Testifyin' A Faithless Man Believes..
Carole King's hit "Jazzman" made it's Top 40 debut on this date (9/14) back in 1974. This made it up to #2, one of her biggest hits of the 70's (Behind "It's Too Late Baby" and "I Feel The Earth Move"). Carole King, of course spent much of the 60's writing hits for other people, including one of the best pop/rock songs ever, The Monkees' "Pleasant Valley Sunday".
