American Music, Texas Style.…

Just saw that music legend Gatemouth Brown died over the weekend. Very sad news. Gatemouth lived in New Orleans, and had evacuated to a relative’s house in Texas, where he passed on. He was 81, and not well. I can't imagine the stress helped. I remember discovering Gatemouth Brown on Austin City Limits, back in high school (Fall of 1977, I think). I’ve picked up several of his albums through the years, from retrospectives of his work in the -50’s though the 1996 Grammy Nominated Album “Long Way Home”. I know what I’m listening to tonight. Rest In peace, Gatemouth....!
