The lake, it is said, never gives up her dead...
This day (9/25), back in 1976 saw the top 40 debut of one of the more depressing hits of the decade. Gordon Lightfoot's ballad of the true story, "The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald" was a sensation. This ode to watery deathreached #2.
