On this day (10/29) in 1977, Styx hit the Top 40 with "Come Sail Away". Styx was one of those Midwest bands that arose and drove the arena rock phenomenon… They actually were pretty big on the pop charts, too, with 8 top 40 hits in the 70’s. But CSA was the only single from the album “The Grand Illusion” which pretty much dominated the FM airways during my senior year of high school.
