Eat A Peach....

33 years ago, 1971: In the first of tragedies for the Allman Brothers Band, leader Duane Allman is killed in a motorcycle mishap, just outside the group's hometown of Macon, Georgia. He was 24. The Allman's Classic album "Eat A Peach" was the first relaesed after Duane's death. I remember hearing the urban legend that the title "Eat A Peach" was a bizarre reference to the "fact" that Duane ran his motorcycle into a truck carrying peaches.....
