Wilson Pickett passed away yesterday, from a heart attack at age 64. Pickett was one of the greats of soul music, bringing us hits like “Mustang Sally”, “In The Midnight Hour” and “Land of 1000 Dances”. I’d put “Mustang Sally” towards the top of my list of greatest songs ever, he deserved to be in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame for that song alone!! (He was inducted in 1991).
