Wet & Wild
Raging water in West Virgina, along the New River gorge…. .
hi, i think i like the 2nd photo better, but that's because of the bigger rocks. they are both really really interesting, but i spent more time fixed on the 2nd. great work.
Shirley: The first one is rather abstract, the intended point is the motion, the "wildness", the surge. The rocks on the left are primarily reference. The second one, I tried to get a smoother feel in the water, the rock is the subject, framed by the leaves. A much more intimate shot (or at least, supposed to be).
These two shots were taken maybe 50' apart, within a few minutes. But they tell different stories (at least I hope)....
