Just Shoot Me 1973
I’ve been posting some of the great songs from 1973 this week, and what a great year it was! BUT, even great year’s have their low points! The most chart dominating family of 1973 was none other than the Osmonds, with a whopping 6 Top 40 hits!! That’s 3 for Donny (including the Top 10 “The 12th of Never"), 2 for the whole family, and Marie’s top 5 “Paper Roses”. And if that’s not bad enough, how about this trifecta of 1973 hits from Helen Reddy: “Delta Dawn”, “Leave Me Alone (Ruby Red Dress)” and “Peaceful”…. Charting, respectively, at #1, #3 and #12. UGH.

And I din't even bring up Tony Orlando and Dawn......
I always liked Tanya Tucker's "Delta Dawn"
Yep, I'll take Tanya Tucker over Helen Reddy any day!
