My photography is less about events than about what remains when they pass. I’m interested in restraint, attention, and the subtle ways everyday environments hold memory without asking for interpretation.
Question for you Larry: I'm thinking about getting a Nikon D70... in the late late future whenever I can save up that much dough. Would you recommend it, do you like it, etc? It looks like such a fun camera. Hard to use etc?
I REALLY like the D70, Lauren. All the joys of digital, with the control of SLR (single lens reflex). It's only really-really expensive, rather than obsenely expensive.
I learned photography 30 years ago on a Cannon SLR (as a teenager!), and bought a Nikon FM2 (all manual) back in the early 80's... Switched to digital when it came out, but just "consumer" point and shoot due to cost. I wasn't able to justify a DSLR until last Christmas.
If you can swing the dough, I'd highly recommend it. Prices continue to decline.....
