Suzanne, the plans they made put an end to you...
One of my all-time favorite songs, "Fire and Rain" made it's chart debut on this day (9/26) back in 1970. Jame Taylor's autobiographical song made it to #3, and launched his career.
Oh, so THOSE are the lyrics. I always thought it said something like "Suzanne, the plans name maid put an end to you." Had no idea what a plans name maid was, but it didn't quite seem to bother me an awful lot either.
