What is it that you do, actually? You seem to be on business a lot to some really cool places, i.e. Spokane one week, San Diego the next, Omaha one week, Detroit the next.

What do I do "actually"??? That I'm not telling.

My job title is "Principal Application Engineer". I work for a company that makes control equipment for electric power systems (www.basler.com). Our division makes protective relays, which are microprocessor based devices that monitor power system conditions, detect faults and initiate corrective actions. blah, blah. blah. I get involved in lots of different tasks associated with the use (application) of these arcane devices. Including working with customers, sales agents, and internal folks. This week I'm attending a meeting of the industry standards group for our industry (http://www.pes-psrc.org/index.html).

Sorry you asked??

One more thing: I've never been to Omaha. Or Ozaukee, WI. Or Oshkosh, WI, Opelika, AL, Oklahoma City, OK, Odessa, TX, Ottumwa, IA, Oildale, CA, or even Ottawa, Canada. But it's just a matter of time.
