Just Shoot Me #477

Today (2/9) marked the debut, in 1974, of the eventual chart topper "Seasons In The Sun" by Terry Jacks. This one hit wonder dominated the charts for 15 weeks, and held the top spot for 3. Just another pop ditty about death....

"Goodbye my friend it´s hard to die, When all the birds are singing in the sky, Now that spring is in the air, Pretty girls are everywhere, Think of me and i´ll be there...We had joy we had fun we had seasons in the sun but the hills that we climbed were just seasons out of time"

Ugh.

If it helps, "Come and Get Your Love" by Redbone, also hit the charts 2/9/74. I kinda like this one, but it only made it up to #5.
