Soothing every ragin' wave that comes..

Sugarloaf's "Green Eyed Lady" made it's Top 40 debut on this date (9/19) back in 1970. A great, keyboard based song, this was one of my favorites as a youth. Many years later (just out of college, early 80's), I tracked down the Sugarloaf album at a used record store, in order to get the full length version on the song... Green Eyed Lady made it ot #3. It would be 5 years later before Sugarloaf had another hit, with the completely different "Don't Call Us, We'll Call You". That turned out to be the last peep heard from these guys....

Love the hammer photo, I bet that has a few stories to tell!

Bay City Rollers! that brings back a few memories, at the hight of their fame they stayed at a health club called champneys about a quarter of a mile from our home and my sister and her friends hung outside the club dressed in their trousers with tarten bottoms (sad girls!)

Nice blog!
