Tent Meeting

A week ago (8/26/05-8/28/05) was the Bicentennial Celebration of Methodism in Illinois. This included services under a big tent each night. I took pictures Saturday.....Two Hundred years ago, the first Methodist house of worship was built in the Goshen Settlement, now our very own Glen Carbon, just a dozen miles or so from St. Louis. This original building was called the Bethel Meeting House, and was located just a mile or two from our current Church, New Bethel United Methodist.
