hi, i think i like the 2nd photo better, but that's because of the bigger rocks. they are both really really interesting, but i spent more time fixed on the 2nd. great work.

Shirley: The first one is rather abstract, the intended point is the motion, the "wildness", the surge. The rocks on the left are primarily reference. The second one, I tried to get a smoother feel in the water, the rock is the subject, framed by the leaves. A much more intimate shot (or at least, supposed to be).

These two shots were taken maybe 50' apart, within a few minutes. But they tell different stories (at least I hope)....

Thoroughly confused me for a second - I thought my wife had jumped in.
I like both shots. The wildness of the first really makes me appreciate the power of the water, but the second is so tranquil. You are definitely making the woods call me.
