F.M. Lawhead's Dryer Crew

I saw this 1916 postcard on eBay, and just couldn’t resist buying it. I love old photos, and this one really hooked me. I don't even know what a "Dryer Crew" is... Now if I can just get it framed instead of letting it end up in a stack of stuff…

Maybe its some type of fruit packing and drying crew? Who knows. I love old postcard too and have quite a collection, most of which have come from ebay. one can certainly buy anything on it.

Well, they appear to be just standing around with nothing to do - maybe they were the first dryer repair crew for the local Maytag dealer. Just a suggestion. ;-)

Oh that's BAD, John!!

I figured it might be a commercial laundry. Or perhaps drying bottles for something like a milk operation... Notice the crates on the right, what could they be holding?
