Ya ever wonder what songs were #1 on your birthday through the years?? Well, it's the kind of thing I wonder about. And the kind of thing I'll actually look up. SO, here you go. There's a couple of high-points, but some pretty deep lows:

Ah, well, you see.... I have a book.

"The Billboard Book of Top 40 Hits, 1955 to Present". Of course, present was 1982, when I got it... A wonderful resource, dog-eared and coming apart.

It lists every song that ever hit the Top 40, sorted by singer, or by song. Dates, peak position, all that good stuff. Also with a chronilogical listing of every #1. That's only the last 10-12 pages.

A quick search of Amazon shows they're up to the 8th edition:
