On the pace lap, getting ready to go green. The white truck, Number 59, is Terry Cook, who my son was rooting for. He qualified 3rd, ran in the top 5 for the first 1/3 of the race. But then he blew an engine, and was done for the day.
Above is a late race pass, Johnny Benson working around David Green, for third, with Ron Hornaday Jr. in the lead. Benson ended up winning, working back from an bad pit stop early in race that dropped him from the front to 21st. Very cool watching him work his way back up through the pack. Below, he's getting ready to do his victory burnout....

I've been to 3 Busch races and 1 Craftsman truck race. I've applied for financing for a ticket to a Nextel Cup race.
What track, John?? Bristol??
We don't get any Cup races within 250 miles. We're probably equidistant from Chicagoland, Kansas, and Indianapolis.....
For Busch races I've been to Bristol once, and Rockingham, NC twice before they stopped having them there. I went to my first Craftsman truck race at Atlanta last October.
