Carl G., over at Pittsburgh Guitars has recently found some old flyers for local bands from way back when. Including several from the the summer of 1979, featuring my brush with rock-stardom (via the Reallys)!! It’s the closest I’ll ever come to American Idol!!
I got a real kick out of these, they “really” brought back some memories. I’m no Chikezie or anything, but we sure had fun! And for all you youngsters out there, no grief about the quality. This was 3 years before the Commodore C-64, and ages before Desktop Publishing....

Wow...pretty steep prices to see you ...LOL..$1.50 How times have changed.
Are you one of those guys in picture #2?
Fun stuff.
Yep... My caricature is in the top 2 photos. I played bass guitar, and would be the drawing on the left. With the hat, in the second poster (though I never wore a hat on stage)....
Hey, we got to split that $1.50 cover charge among all the bands!! I don't think it covered gas, even in 1979!!
oh geeezzz!
If IIRC, I got paid in free soft drinks from the bar...
Oh, and the Goth Girl who was Goth before Goth treated me pretty nice too
