Art?

I took this image at lunch last week, and it completely didn't turn out like I wanted.  But I decided to play around with it a bit and see what I could come up with. 

The result isn't too bad.  BUT, when I have to play with something to make it not-too-bad, that's a bad sign.

Here's another experiement...  actually an extreme close up frolm the same image.....
