Another 1 hit wonder, Herman Brood and His Wild Romance, had their only chart debut on this day (9/1) back in 1979, with the really cool rocker "Saturday Night". Not to be confused with "Saturday Night" by the Bay City Rollers (#1 in 1975) or "Saturday Night" by Earth Wind and Fire (#21 in 1976), or even Saturday Night Special (Lynyrd Skynyrd #27), or "Saturday Night's Alright for Fightin'" (Elton John, #12)..... Herman Brood's "Saturday Night only made it to #35. But I really like the song, and bought the album back when it was frash and new. Sadly, Herman Brood not only had just one hit, he seems to have had just one good song...
