I got a Picture of the Day (POTD) award today, over at PhotoShowdown. My first recognition in a few weeks. It's a strange sort of leap, but the title was inspired by the R.E.M. song "Carnival of Sorts", from their Chronic Town EP, way back in 1982. Which I bought on vinyl way back in 1982, btw (and still have, of course).

I had the chance to see them in early '83, they were great. The later stuff I can take or leave....
