Another re-worked shot. This one is from 2005, but was taken with my really old Kodak DC210 Point’n’Shoot. Another PSRC meeting, this one in San Diego. Our hotel was just a couple of minutes from Torrey Pines State Reserve, and easy side trip. I was really struck by this scene, a set of contrasts between the sandstone cliffs (reflected), the white rocks, and the dark sand. But the DC210 just didn’t do it justice, with the inevitable sharpness problems of a tiny lens. This is a more subtle reworking than yesterday. I adjusted the lighting/contrast a bit more (with Levels), and cloned out some distracting elements…

oh, i did figure out how to post a picture from new year's eve taken with my new camera.
still haven't figured everything out but, it's a start. ha! ; )
I like the top one best. It's not too much different from the middle version, but it has better contrast and sharpness (I think).

The top one has a bit more contrast (via levels), plus I lessened some of the white spots in the puddle and cloned out a stick at the bottom middle....
