Roots

This is an oldie, shot way back in in late 2002 (IIRC), with my first Digital Camera.  Shot on a drizzly day at William B. Umstead State Park in the Raliegh / Durham NC area.

This is one of those photos that didn't turn out quite like I envisioned.  But rather than hating it for it's failure, I like it for the image I wanted it to be....  Or does that make no sense at all?  Anyway, I found myself reminiscing the other day, thinking about this image, and that misty day in North Carolina.  So I thought I'd share it (again).

Great choice for a b&w. It makes me wonder what's in that hollow.
